Yorkshire Light

Have been spending time looking at a compact camera, the fuji X100 and the lecia X1 were both looking pretty hot , however tested a canon 35mm 1.4 lens today on the 5D and just could not resist , so have put the compact idea away for now and looking forward to the lens arriving tomo and taking some great pictures with it .

Bus stop at night . You dont find many towns or villages these days without street lights , I discovered this scene when driving back from my brothers house in Yorkshire . A small village east of Leeds where the villages made a point of getting rid of their street lights, the result was this beautifully self lit bus stop . I had to go back about 3 times before I was happy with the shot .Managed to get stung all up the back of my legs when I walked into a bush full of nettles , thats no streets lights for you !
